2. Quotations & Pricing
All quotations are provided in writing or verbally prior to work commencing. Quotes are valid for 30 days from issue unless otherwise stated.
Fixed-price quotes will not change unless the scope of work changes materially. Where unforeseen additional work is identified during a job, we will inform you and obtain your agreement before proceeding.
Emergency callout rates may differ from standard rates. You will always be informed of the applicable rate before we begin work.
3. Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of work unless a written credit agreement has been arranged in advance.
For larger projects, a deposit of up to 30% may be required before work begins. The balance is due on completion.
We accept payment by bank transfer, credit or debit card, and cash. We do not accept cheques.
Outstanding invoices not settled within 30 days of the due date may incur a late payment charge in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
4. Workmanship Guarantee
We provide a 12-month guarantee on all workmanship carried out by our engineers. This covers defects arising directly from our work.
The guarantee does not cover:
• Normal wear and tear
• Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or third-party interference
• Pre-existing faults not caused by our work
• Manufacturer defects (these are covered by the relevant product warranty)
To make a claim under this guarantee, contact us within 12 months of the original job date.
5. Manufacturer Warranties
Where we supply and install products (including boilers), the manufacturer's warranty terms apply. We will assist with warranty registration where required.
As accredited installers for selected manufacturers, we can register extended warranties on qualifying installations. Details are confirmed at the time of installation.
6. Access & Site Conditions
You are responsible for ensuring safe and reasonable access to the work area at the agreed appointment time. Where access is not possible and reasonable notice has not been given, a call-out or wasted journey charge may apply.
You should inform us of any known hazards at the property prior to our visit, including the presence of asbestos, structural issues, or other relevant conditions.
7. Cancellations
We ask for a minimum of 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule a booked appointment. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a charge to cover the engineer's time.
Emergency callouts cancelled after an engineer has been dispatched will be charged for time and travel incurred.
8. Liability
We carry full public liability insurance. In the event that our engineers cause damage to your property, please notify us in writing within 48 hours.
Our liability is limited to the cost of rectifying the damage caused directly by our work. We are not liable for consequential losses or losses arising from pre-existing conditions we were not made aware of.
We are not liable for any damage caused by the underlying fault that necessitated our visit (e.g. water damage from a burst pipe prior to our arrival).
9. Compliance
All gas work is carried out by Gas Safe registered engineers in compliance with the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998.
All water fittings work complies with the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999.
Certificates and documentation are provided where required by regulation.
10. Disputes
In the event of a dispute, please contact us in the first instance so we can work to resolve the matter directly.
These terms are governed by English law. Any disputes that cannot be resolved informally may be referred to a relevant alternative dispute resolution (ADR) scheme or the courts of England and Wales.
